Depending on the time of the year and any social, economic or political situations, some lines are more often used than others. There is lots of it online, and if you don't do your research, you'll never know what you are up against.

To avoid seeming 'just like everyone else' on these online dating services, make sure to take a look at your competition, first. Do a search for a person "like" you (age, sex, race, religion, etc.) More than likely, a couple of similarities will pop out immediately.

(Of course, I answered smiles, winks, instant messages and emails from other suitors, but these three dating profiles were the only ones that I started the interaction with.)There are two major reasons why I wouldn't respond to someone contacting me.

Why did I only make an effort to initiate contact with those three, instead of any others?

If someone virtually winks at you, why not wink back?!
